The PM’s overall assets are at Rs246 million, with his London property valued at Rs130 million.
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) revealed statistics on the assets held by members of Parliament for the year 2021, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the ECP document, the PM’s overall assets are worth Rs246 million, with his London property worth Rs130 million. According to the paper, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has Rs2 million in his bank account. “PM Shehbaz has borrowed Rs63.9 million from his son Suleman Shehbaz, but his London bank account is empty,” according to the paper, which also indicated that he owes Rs140 million.
In addition, the PTI chairman has paid a Rs11.9 million advance for two flats at the Grand Hyatt in Islamabad. Bushra Bibi, Khan’s wife and Pakistan’s former first lady, owns 52 kanals of land in Pakpattan, as well as 379 kanals in Pir Ghani and 267 kanals in Okara. In Bani Gala, she also has a three-canal house.
Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party and a former president, with a net worth of Rs714.2 million. In Pakistan, he has 20 properties, five of which he inherited. Zardari has Rs16.6 million worth of weaponry and six vehicles. He does not, however, own any property outside of Pakistan.
PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has Rs600 million in assets and owns 19 homes in Pakistan. He has Rs66.8 million in cash and seven bank accounts. Bilawal also has 150 tolas of gold and seven watches in his possession. The PPP chairman has a Dubai investment and two bungalows, one of which she received as a gift and the other which she inherited.
Raja Riaz Ahmed, the leader of the opposition, owns four homes totaling Rs3.7 million and two vehicles. Omar Ayub Khan, the former energy minister, is said to have assets worth Rs1.19 billion, according to the paper.
PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal owns three houses in Narowal and Rahim Yar Khan, as well as 15 tolas of inherited gold, according to the ECP document. Iqbal has Rs324,000 in cash and Rs265,000 in his bank account.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, a former minister of the interior, owns seven properties in Pakistan totaling Rs41.8 million. In his bank account, he owns Rs106.8 million.
According to the paper, PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq holds assets worth Rs248.1 million. Farrukh Habib, a former minister of state, has a net worth of Rs24.5 million. According to the declaration, Hammad Azhar of the PTI possesses assets of Rs402 million.
